Honey-Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs
Classic Macaroni SaladIngredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup ketchup
- ⅓ cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Lay chicken thighs into the bottom of a 4-quart slow cooker.
- Whisk soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, and basil together in a bowl; pour over the chicken.
- Cook on Low for 6 hours.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1½ cups and 2 Tbsp uncooked elbow macaroni
- ⅓ cup and 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp and 1¾ tsp distilled white vinegar
- ¼ cup and 1 tsp white sugar
- 1 Tbsp prepared yellow mustard
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- ⅜ large onion, chopped
- ¾ stalk celery, chopped
- ⅜ green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 Tbsp and 1¾ tsp grated carrot (optional)
- 2½ tsp chopped pimento peppers (optional)
Side Dish Instructions
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni, and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Rinse under cold water and drain.
- In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt and pepper. Stir in the onion, celery, green pepper, carrot, pimentos and macaroni. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving, but preferably overnight.
