Bacon-Cheeseburger Soup
Hamburger Bun ToastIngredients
- 4 slices bacon
- ½ lb ground beef
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 (14.5-oz) can petite-diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a Dutch oven over medium heat until crisp; drain. Crumble bacon.
- Cook beef, onion, and garlic in pot over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to pot.
- Stir in flour and seasoning. Cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes, Gradually stir in broth, milk, and tomatoes; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until thickened. Gradually stir in cheese until melted. Stir in Worcestershire. Sprinkle with bacon.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ½ (8-count) pkg hamburger buns, split
- 2 Tbsp butter, softened
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat broiler. Place desired amount of buns, cut sides up, on a baking sheet. Spread butter on buns; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Broil until toasted.
