Beef and Broccoli Bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
  • 1½ lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Cook broccoli according to package directions; set aside.
  2. Cook steak in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet 5 minutes or until browned. Remove steak, and keep warm.
  3. Meanwhile, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch.
  4. Add steak and steamed broccoli to skillet. Stir soy sauce mixture into skillet; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened, stirring often. Serve over Spicy Jasmine Rice recipe.

  • 2 (8.5-oz) pouches microwavable jasmine rice
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg chopped onions (about 1 cup)
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package directions; spoon into a large bowl.
  2. Cook onion, garlic, and crushed red pepper in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes or until tender. Add to rice; toss.
