Easy Barbecue Brisket

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet onion, sliced
  • ½ Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1½ lb beef brisket, trimmed
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Place onion in a 4-quart slow cooker. Rub seasoning on all sides of brisket; place over onions in cooker, cutting brisket in pieces, if necessary. Pour beef broth and barbecue sauce over brisket.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 9 hours or until tender. Slice before serving.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (12-oz) pkg broccoli slaw
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1½ tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp honey
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Let stand 30 minutes before serving.
