Easy Mashed Potatoes and Buttered Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp salt-free steak seasoning blend (such as Mrs. Dash)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onion
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2½ cups low-sodium beef broth

Instructions

  1. Mix beef, seasoning, and salt in a large bowl; shape mixture into 6 patties. Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned. Remove patties, reserving 2 Tbsp drippings in skillet.
  2. Sauté onion and mushrooms in hot drippings until tender. Add garlic; cook 30 seconds, stirring often.
  3. Add flour; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually add Worcestershire and broth, stirring until smooth. Return patties to skillet; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until gravy is thickened.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 (24-oz) pkg refrigerated mashed potatoes (such as Simply Potatoes)

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook broccoli according to package directions; toss with butter, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat potatoes according to package directions.
