Hamburger Steaks and Gravy
Easy Mashed Potatoes and Buttered BroccoliIngredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1½ tsp salt-free steak seasoning blend (such as Mrs. Dash)
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup thinly sliced onion
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1¼ cups low-sodium beef broth
Instructions
- Mix beef, seasoning, and salt in a large bowl; shape mixture into 3 patties. Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned. Remove patties, reserving 1 Tbsp drippings in skillet.
- Sauté onion and mushrooms in hot drippings until tender. Add garlic; cook 30 seconds, stirring often.
- Add flour; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Gradually add Worcestershire and broth, stirring until smooth. Return patties to skillet; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until gravy is thickened.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
- 1 Tbsp butter
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- 1 (24-oz) pkg refrigerated mashed potatoes (such as Simply Potatoes)
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook broccoli according to package directions; toss with butter, salt, and pepper.
- Heat potatoes according to package directions. Serve half of the package; refrigerate remaining half for another meal.
