Mustard Slaw Dogs
Pepper Slaw
Ingredients
- 4 organic uncured beef hot dogs (such as Applegate)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp mustard-mayonnaise blend (such as Hellman's)
- 4 whole wheat hot dog buns, split
Instructions
- Cook hot dogs in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes, turning often, or until browned.
- Spread ½ Tbsp mustard over cut sides of each bun; top with hot dogs and Pepper Slaw.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp honey
- ¼ tsp celery seeds
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 2 cups tricolor coleslaw mix
- ½ red bell pepper, finely chopped
- ½ green bell pepper, finely chopped
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook vinegar, honey, celery seeds, salt and pepper in a small saucepan over medium-high heat 5 minutes.
- Combine vinegar mixture, coleslaw mix and bell peppers.
- Chill 1 hour or until ready to serve.
