Mustard Slaw Dogs

Ingredients

  • 4 organic uncured beef hot dogs (such as Applegate)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp mustard-mayonnaise blend (such as Hellman's)
  • 4 whole wheat hot dog buns, split

Instructions

  1. Cook hot dogs in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes, turning often, or until browned.
  2. Spread ½ Tbsp mustard over cut sides of each bun; top with hot dogs and Pepper Slaw.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • ¼ tsp celery seeds
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper 
  • 2 cups tricolor coleslaw mix
  • ½ red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • ½ green bell pepper, finely chopped

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook vinegar, honey, celery seeds, salt and pepper in a small saucepan over medium-high heat 5 minutes.
  2. Combine vinegar mixture, coleslaw mix and bell peppers.
  3. Chill 1 hour or until ready to serve.
