Crispy Onion Rings with Smoky Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg tricolor coleslaw
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup plus 1 Tbsp barbecue sauce, divided
  • 1 (9-oz) pkg thinly sliced ham
  • 2 lb lean ground pork
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced Cheddar cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Stir together coleslaw, mayonnaise, and 1 Tbsp barbecue sauce in a medium bowl. Divide ham into 6 portions.
  2. Shape pork into six ½-inch-thick patties; season lightly with salt and pepper. Grill, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or until done. Top with cheese, and grill 1 minute or until cheese is melted. Place ham portions and buns on grill. Grill 1 to 2 minutes or until ham is lightly browned and buns are toasted.
  3. Serve patties on buns with ham, coleslaw, and ½ cup barbecue sauce.

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tsp chili powder

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake onion rings according to package directions.
  2. Whisk together mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, and chili powder. Serve with onion rings.
