Sweet and Spicy Chicken

Green Beans and Garlic-Herb Potato Wedges

Ingredients

  • 2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 Tbsp Sriracha hot sauce
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken in half crosswise, and pound to an even thickness in a zip-top plastic bag using the heel of your hand or a meat mallet; season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat; add chicken, and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side or until browned. Remove from skillet, and set aside.
  3. Add garlic to skillet; cook, stirring 30 seconds. Stir in brown sugar, water, Sriracha sauce, and vinegar; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Return chicken to skillet; cook 2 minutes, stirring to coat with sauce.

  • 1 (32-oz) pkg frozen garlic-and-herb potato wedges
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen green beans

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook potato wedges according to package directions. Steam green beans according to package directions; season with salt and pepper to taste.
