Mushroom and Onion Flatbread

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 3 (4-oz) pkg sliced gourmet mushrooms
  • 1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 (15-oz) pkg artisan pizza crusts
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh thyme
  • 3 Tbsp balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, onion and garlic; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook, stirring, 8 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Stir in vinegar. Remove skillet from heat.
  3. Arrange crusts on a baking sheet; brush with oil. Bake 5 minutes.
  4. Top crusts with mushroom mixture and cheese.
  5. Return to oven, and bake 10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with thyme and drizzle with glaze .
