Buttery Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream, heated (or use milk)
  • 2 Tbsp butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Combine potatoes and salt in a large saucepan of cold water to cover. Cover and bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  2. Drain well, and return potatoes to dry pan. Add hot cream and butter. Mash with a potato masher to desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
