Buttery Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- 1½ lb Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 tsp salt
- ⅓ cup heavy cream, heated (or use milk)
- 2 Tbsp butter, softened
Instructions
- Combine potatoes and salt in a large saucepan of cold water to cover. Cover and bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Drain well, and return potatoes to dry pan. Add hot cream and butter. Mash with a potato masher to desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
