Meat Lovers' Spaghetti
Ingredients
- 1½ lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (28-oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (14.5-oz) can petite diced tomatoes
- 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Hot cooked pasta
Instructions
- Cook sausage, garlic, and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until meat is browned and crumbly; drain. Add mushrooms to skillet; cook 10 minutes. Cool and transfer to a large zip-top freezer bag. Add remaining ingredients except pasta.
- Remove all air from bag, and seal bag. Label and freeze up to 3 months.
- Thaw 8 hours in refrigerator. Transfer meaty sauce to a 5- or 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.
- Serve over hot cooked pasta.
