Meat Lovers' Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (28-oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Hot cooked pasta

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage, garlic, and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until meat is browned and crumbly; drain. Add mushrooms to skillet; cook 10 minutes. Cool and transfer to a large zip-top freezer bag. Add remaining ingredients except pasta.
  2. Remove all air from bag, and seal bag. Label and freeze up to 3 months.
  3. Thaw 8 hours in refrigerator. Transfer meaty sauce to a 5- or 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.
  4. Serve over hot cooked pasta.
