Vegetable Beef Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2 (16-oz) pkg frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 (28-oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in a large stockpot until crumbly and no longer pink; drain and return to pot. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Add vegetables and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer, covered, at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
