Homestyle Mac 'n' Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg elbow macaroni
- 6 Tbsp butter, divided
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups 2% reduced-fat milk
- 1 (8-oz) block sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Melt ¼ cup butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour; cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until thickened.
- Stir in Cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth; add pasta.
- Microwave 2 Tbsp butter at HIGH 30 seconds. Combine melted butter, panko, and Parmesan cheese.
- Spoon pasta mixture into a greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish; top with panko mixture.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden.
