Barbecue Beef Sliders
Creamy Coleslaw and Baked Beans
Ingredients
- ½ lb lean ground beef
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- 1 slice sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp organic barbecue sauce (such as Tessemae's)
- 4 slider buns (preferably whole wheat)
- ½ small red onion
- 1 small avocado, sliced
Instructions
- Shape beef into 4 patties; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cut cheese slice into 4 squares.
- Grill burgers in a hot grill pan over medium-high heat 3 minutes per side or until almost done. During last 1 minute of cooking, brush burgers with barbecue sauce, and top with cheese.
- Serve burgers on buns with onion and avocado.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ½ (16-oz) pkg shredded coleslaw
- ½ organic red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp olive-oil mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp sour cream
- ½ Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ Tbsp honey
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 (16-oz) can BPA-free organic baked beans (such as Bush's)
Side Dish Instructions
- Combine coleslaw and bell pepper in a bowl; stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Add to slaw; toss. Let stand until ready to serve.
- Meanwhile, cook baked beans according to package directions.
