Bacon Cheeseburgers with Onion Rings

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bacon
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg frozen onion rings (see Note)
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced colby-Jack cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns (or use other bakery buns)
  • Ketchup
  • 1 (16-oz) jar dill pickle chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain.
  2. Bake onion rings according to package directions.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Mix beef, Worcestershire sauce, steak seasoning, and garlic salt; shape mixture into 6 patties.
  4. Grill patties, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink.
  5. Top each burger with 1 slice cheese; let stand 1 minute or until melted.
  6. Serve burgers on buns with ketchup, pickles, bacon, and onion rings.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg strawberries, halved
  • 1 cantaloupe, halved, seeded, and cubed
  • 1 cup seedless red grapes
  • ¾ cup poppy seed dressing

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Place strawberries, melon, and grapes in a bowl; drizzle with dressing, and toss. Chill, if desired.
