Italian Chicken Sausage with Breakfast Greens
Chilled Red GrapesIngredients
- 1 (12-oz) pkg fully cooked Italian chicken sausage links
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (16-oz) pkg chopped kale
- ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 2 tsp low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ to ½ tsp crushed red pepper
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 pint grape tomatoes, cut in half
Instructions
- Cook sausage in hot oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes or until browned and thoroughly heated. Remove, reserving drippings in pan.
- Add garlic to hot drippings; cook 1 minute. Add kale, broth, syrup, soy sauce, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Cook 5 minutes or until kale is wilted, stirring often. Stir in tomatoes. Serve with sausage.
