Pizza Pinwheels
Baby Kale Salad with Apples
Ingredients
- 1 (13.8-oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
- ½ lb ground beef
- ½ (3.5-oz) pkg pepperoni
- 2 Tbsp cornmeal
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheeses
- 1 (24-oz) jar pasta sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook beef and pepperoni in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain .
- Sprinkle cornmeal over a work surface. Unroll pizza dough over cornmeal. Sprinkle with cheese and beef mixture, leaving a ½-inch border on all sides.
- Roll up dough into a log, beginning with one long side, pressing seams to seal. Cut log into 1-inch-thick slices and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Warm pasta sauce according to package directions; serve with rolls for dipping.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 apples, thinly sliced
- 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 (5-oz) pkg baby kale
- ¼ cup olive oil
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss apples with lemon juice and honey in a bowl; add kale.
- Drizzle with oil; sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Toss.
