Hawaiian Turkey Dogs
Sesame Coleslaw
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp olive-oil mayonnaise
- ½ tsp Sriracha hot sauce (optional)
- ½ tsp fresh lime juice
- 4 spears peeled pineapple
- 2 organic uncured turkey hot dogs (such as Applegate)
- 2 hot dog buns (preferably whole wheat)
- 2 Tbsp thinly sliced red onion
- 1 Tbsp fresh cilantro leaves
Instructions
- Stir together mayonnaise, Sriracha, and lime juice in a small bowl; stir in 1 tsp pineapple juice from container.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grill hot dogs and pineapple spears 3 to 4 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Spread mayonnaise mixture on buns; top with hot dogs, pineapple, onion, and cilantro.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 3 cups tricolor coleslaw
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss together all ingredients in a medium bowl; let stand at least 10 minutes before serving.
