Pork Chops in Garlic-Herb Sauce

Ingredients

  • 6 (6-oz) boneless pork chops
  • ½ tsp salt, divided
  • ½ tsp pepper, divided
  • 3 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup white wine (or use low-sodium chicken broth)
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1½ tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Season pork with ¼ tsp each salt and pepper. Melt 1 Tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook pork 3 to 4 minutes or until browned.
  2. Reduce heat to medium; turn pork, and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until done. Remove from skillet; keep warm.
  3. Return skillet to medium heat. Add 2 Tbsp butter and garlic, and cook 1 to 2 minutes. Add flour, whisking constantly, 1 minute.
  4. Whisk in wine, cream, Italian seasoning, and ¼ tsp each salt and pepper; cook 5 to 8 minutes or until reduced and thickened.
  5. Add pork, and cook until coated and thoroughly heated.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (24-oz) pkg refrigerated mashed potatoes (such as Simply Potatoes)
  • 6 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 3 Tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • ¾ tsp pepper, divided
  • 2 (12-oz) pkg green beans

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook potatoes according to package directions. Stir in ¼ cup butter, chives, garlic, and ½ tsp pepper.
  2. Meanwhile, cook green beans according to package directions. Stir in 2 Tbsp butter and ¼ tsp pepper.
