Bacon Double Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg bacon
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 3 Tbsp plus ¾ cup barbecue sauce, divided
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced Cheddar cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain on paper towels.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Combine beef and 3 Tbsp barbecue sauce in a bowl. Shape mixture into 12 thin patties; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill patties, covered, 4 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Top each with cheese.
  4. Spread remaining barbecue sauce on buns. Serve 2 patties on each bun, and top with bacon.
