Old-Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large peaches, sliced
  • 1 (48-oz) carton vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour butter into an 8- or 9-inch cast-iron skillet.
  2. Whisk together flour, ½ cup sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Whisk in milk and vanilla. Pour over butter in skillet. Top with peaches.
  3. Stir together ¼ cup sugar and ½ tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle over peaches.
  4. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and center is set. Cool slightly.
  5. Spoon cobbler into bowls. Top with ice cream.
