Skillet Cheesy Shells and Beef

Ingredients

  • 12 oz shell pasta
  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
  3. Add flour and seasoning; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Gradually add broth and tomato sauce; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until mixture is thickened. Stir in sour cream and pasta. Stir in cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 (12-oz) pkg classic salad mix
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes
  • ½ cup Ranch dressing

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss salad mix with tomatoes and dressing just before serving.
