Grilled Italian Sausages and Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg halved Brussels sprouts
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 6 sweet Italian turkey sausage links

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Thread Brussels sprouts onto bamboo or metal skewers.
  2. Whisk together oil, maple syrup, mustard, salt, pepper, and garlic; drizzle over skewers.
  3. Grill skewers and sausage, covered, 8 minutes or until grill marks appear, turning occasionally.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 3 large russet potatoes, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
  • ½ onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp canola oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Toss together potatoes, onion, and oil on a 20-inch piece of heavy-duty foil. Sprinkle with salt and red pepper.
  2. Wrap foil around potatoes forming a pouch, and seal. Grill, covered, 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
