Crunchy Sloppy Joe Tacos
Onion Rings and Apples
Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground beef (or use ground turkey)
- 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- ¾ cup ketchup
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp yellow mustard
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 (7.1-oz) pkg stand 'n stuff taco shells
- 1½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook beef and bell pepper in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain, if necessary.
- Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire, mustard, and garlic powder. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat 12 taco shells according to package directions. Serve beef mixture in shells; sprinkle with cheese.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 (13.5-oz) pkg frozen crispy onion rings (such as Alexia)
- Ketchup
- 2 large apples
Side Dish Instructions
- Bake onion rings according to package directions. Serve with ketchup.
- Slice apples just before serving.
