Crunchy Sloppy Joe Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef (or use ground turkey)
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (7.1-oz) pkg stand 'n stuff taco shells
  •  1½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook beef and bell pepper in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain, if necessary.
  2. Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire, mustard, and garlic powder. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Heat 12 taco shells according to package directions. Serve beef mixture in shells; sprinkle with cheese.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 (13.5-oz) pkg frozen crispy onion rings (such as Alexia)
  • Ketchup
  • 2 large apples

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake onion rings according to package directions. Serve with ketchup.
  2. Slice apples just before serving.
