Sausage-Kale Penne

Ingredients
- 12 oz whole wheat penne pasta
- 1 lb Italian chicken sausage, casings removed
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 (24-oz) jar natural marinara sauce (such as Rao’s)
- ⅔ cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups chopped kale
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, cook sausage and onion in hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until browned. Add sauce, cream, and garlic; cook 4 to 5 minutes or until sauce thickens.
- Stir in kale, and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until wilted.
