Cheeseburger-Stuffed Shells
Hamburger Bun Toast
Ingredients
- 1 (12-oz) box jumbo shells
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
- ½ cup ketchup
- 3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded lettuce
- 1 cup sliced dill pickles
- 2 Roma tomatoes, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook pasta shells according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
- Meanwhile, cook beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 cup cheese.
- Spoon mixture into pasta shells, and place, meaty side up, in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Pour broth around pasta shells in dish.
- Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Top with lettuce, dill pickles, and tomatoes.

- 1 (8-count) pkg hamburger buns, split
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat broiler. Place buns, cut sides up, on a baking sheet. Spread butter on buns; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Broil until toasted.
