Cheeseburger-Stuffed Shells

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) box jumbo shells
  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup sliced dill pickles
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook pasta shells according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, cook beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 cup cheese.
  3. Spoon mixture into pasta shells, and place, meaty side up, in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Pour broth around pasta shells in dish.
  4. Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Top with lettuce, dill pickles, and tomatoes.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (8-count) pkg hamburger buns, split
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler. Place buns, cut sides up, on a baking sheet. Spread butter on buns; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Broil until toasted.
