Lettuce-Wrapped Bacon Dogs

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 8 beef hot dogs
  • ¼ cup whole-grain mustard
  • ½ cup chopped tomato
  • 8 romaine lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp. Drain, reserving drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon.
  2. Cut a lengthwise slit down center of each hot dog, cutting to but not through other side.
  3. Cook hot dogs in drippings in skillet over medium heat 3 minutes per side or until well browned all over.
  4. Fill hot dogs with mustard, bacon, and tomato. Place hot dogs in lettuce leaves, and roll up to serve.
