Chicken Nugget Mac 'n' Cheese Bake

Ingredients

  • ½ (32-oz) pkg frozen breaded chicken nuggets
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1½ cups shredded white Cheddar cheese, divided

Instructions

  1. Bake desired amount of chicken nuggets according to package directions. Cool slightly, and cut into bite-size pieces. Adjust oven temperature to 400°F.
  2. Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package directions.
  3. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat; add flour, and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Stir in broth until smooth; cook 4 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
  4. Stir in 1 cup cheese until melted. Stir in pasta and chicken. Spoon into a greased small baking dish; sprinkle with ½ cup cheese.
  5. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

  • ½ (12-oz) pkg frozen sweet peas
  • ½ Tbsp butter

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook peas according to package directions. Toss with butter. Season with salt to taste.
