Cheeseburger-Stuffed Shells
Hamburger Bun Toast
Ingredients
- ½ (12-oz) box jumbo shells
- ¾ lb ground beef
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- ½ (8-oz) pkg shredded lettuce
- ⅓ cup sliced dill pickles
- 1 Roma tomato, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook pasta shells according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
- Meanwhile, cook beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and ½ cup cheese.
- Spoon mixture into pasta shells, and place, meaty side up, in a lightly greased 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with ½ cup cheese. Pour broth around pasta shells in dish.
- Bake 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Top with lettuce, dill pickles, and tomato.

- 2 hamburger buns, split
- 1 Tbsp butter, softened
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat broiler. Place buns, cut sides up, on a baking sheet. Spread butter on buns; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Broil until toasted.
