Cheeseburger-Stuffed Shells

Ingredients

  • ½ (12-oz) box jumbo shells
  • ¾ lb ground beef
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • ½ (8-oz) pkg shredded lettuce
  • ⅓ cup sliced dill pickles
  • 1 Roma tomato, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook pasta shells according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, cook beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and ½ cup cheese.
  3. Spoon mixture into pasta shells, and place, meaty side up, in a lightly greased 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with ½ cup cheese. Pour broth around pasta shells in dish.
  4. Bake 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Top with lettuce, dill pickles, and tomato.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 hamburger buns, split
  • 1 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler. Place buns, cut sides up, on a baking sheet. Spread butter on buns; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Broil until toasted.
