Pork Chops with Fresh Creole Sauce

Ingredients

  • 6 (6-oz) bone-in pork chops
  • 1 Tbsp Creole seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1(10-oz) pkg frozen seasoning blend
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle pork with Creole seasoning. Cook pork, in batches, in hot oil in a large skillet 4 to 5 minutes per side or until done; remove from skillet.
  2. Sauté garlic, seasoning blend, and tomatoes in skillet 3 minutes or until tender. Return pork to skillet. Sprinkle with parsley.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup quick-cooking grits
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss green beans with oil on a rimmed baking sheet, and spread in an even layer. Bake 10 minutes or until tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  2. Combine milk and water in a medium saucepan; bring to boil, and gradually stir in grits. Cook until thickened. Stir in cheese and butter; season to taste with salt and pepper.
