Honey-Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ¾ lb peeled and deveined, medium-size raw shrimp
  • ½ red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, bell pepper, and garlic; sprinkle with ginger, and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook, stirring occasionally, until shrimp are beginning to turn pink.
  3. Stir together honey and cornstarch in a small bowl; add to skillet, and cook 1 minute or until thickened and shrimp turn pink. Serve over Green Onion Rice recipe.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ¾ cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package directions; stir in onions, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
