Thin-and-Crispy Fries

Ingredients

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup whole-grain mustard
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp garlic salt
  • 12 slices American cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns, split
  • 6 leaves green leaf lettuce
  • ½ sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sliced dill pickles

Instructions

  1. Stir together mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, vinegar, and paprika; set aside.
  2. Combine beef, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt; shape mixture into 12 balls. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef balls, in 4 batches, to hot skillet; cook 1 minute.
  3. Smash patties with a metal spatula until very thin. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until edges are very brown; turn patties, smashing again with a spatula, and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until no longer pink. Top each with 1 cheese slice. Remove each batch from skillet, and keep warm.
  4. Serve 2 cheese-topped patties on each bun with flavored mayonnaise, lettuce, onion, and pickles.

  • 1 Tbsp seasoned salt

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake or fry French fries according to package directions; sprinkle with seasoned salt.
