Smash Burgers
Thin-and-Crispy FriesIngredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup whole-grain mustard
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika
- 2 lb ground beef
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp garlic salt
- 12 slices American cheese
- 6 hamburger buns, split
- 6 leaves green leaf lettuce
- ½ sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup sliced dill pickles
Instructions
- Stir together mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, vinegar, and paprika; set aside.
- Combine beef, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt; shape mixture into 12 balls. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef balls, in 4 batches, to hot skillet; cook 1 minute.
- Smash patties with a metal spatula until very thin. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until edges are very brown; turn patties, smashing again with a spatula, and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until no longer pink. Top each with 1 cheese slice. Remove each batch from skillet, and keep warm.
- Serve 2 cheese-topped patties on each bun with flavored mayonnaise, lettuce, onion, and pickles.
