Grilled Five-Spice Chicken
Creamy Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus Bundles
Ingredients
- 4 green onions, minced
- ¼ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 3 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 4 (6-oz) bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts
Instructions
- Combine onions, cilantro, oil, vinegar, garlic, five-spice powder, and salt in a large zip-top plastic bag. Add chicken, and turn to coat. Chill 2 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Grill chicken, covered, on a grill rack rubbed with oil 5 to 6 minutes per side or until done.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3 Tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 4 tsp olive oil, divided
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1½ lb asparagus, ends trimmed
- 4 (1-oz) slices prosciutto, halved
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, mustard, 1 tsp oil, and pepper.
- Divide asparagus into 8 bundles. Smear cream cheese mixture onto prosciutto; wrap around each bundle. Secure with wooden picks, if desired.
- Brush bundles with 1 Tbsp oil on a baking sheet. Roast 10 to 12 minutes until crisp-tender.
