Greek-Style Gyros

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb (or use ground beef)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Greek seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ red onion, sliced
  • 8 iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, chopped
  • ⅓ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ cup tzatziki dip with cucumber and garlic

Instructions

  1. Cook lamb in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes or until browned and crumbly. Add Greek seasoning, salt, and onion; cook 5 to 6 minutes or until onion is tender.
  2. For each wrap, stack 2 lettuce leaves. Fill with meat mixture, and sprinkle with tomatoes and cheese. Roll up. Serve with dip.

  • 1 red onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Slice onion and bell peppers. Place vegetables in a large roasting pan; toss with oil, garlic salt, and pepper.
  2. Roast 25 minutes until lightly browned and tender, stirring occasionally.
