Veggie-Smothered Turkey Burgers

Sweet Potato Puffs and Orange-Butter Lettuce with Cilantro

Ingredients

  • 1 (20-oz) pkg ground turkey
  • 2 Tbsp salt-free Montreal steak seasoning
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp canola oil, divided
  • 2 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • 2 large green bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1½ cups thinly sliced onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1¾ cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Mix together turkey, seasoning, and Worcestershire; Shape into 6 patties.
  2. Cook patties, in batches, in 1 Tbsp hot oil in a large nonstick skillet 4 to 5 minutes per side or until done. Transfer to plate; keep warm.
  3. Cook mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, garlic, and salt in 1 Tbsp hot oil in skillet 8 to 10 minutes or until tender.
  4. Whisk together broth and cornstarch; add to skillet. Cook, stirring, 2 to 4 minutes or until sauce is thickened and vegetables are tender. Serve burgers topped with vegetable mixture.

  • 1 (20-oz) pkg frozen sweet potato puffs
  • 1½ (6-oz) pkg butter lettuce salad
  • 3 oranges, peeled and sectioned
  • ¾ cup light raspberry walnut dressing
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake potato puffs according to package directions. Meanwhile, combine lettuce, oranges, dressing, and cilantro in a large bowl; toss. Serve potato puffs and salad alongside burgers.
