Easy Beef and Macaroni
Garlic and Pecan Green Beans
Ingredients
- ¾ lb ground beef
- ½ small onion, chopped
- 1½ cups water
- 1 (15-oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
- ¾ cup frozen whole kernel corn, thawed and patted dry
- 1½ Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ (8-oz) pkg elbow macaroni
Instructions
- Cook beef and onion in a large saucepan over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to pot.
- Stir in water, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, corn, brown sugar, and Worcestershire; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.
- Add pasta, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ½ (16-oz) pkg frozen cut green beans
- ¼ cup chopped pecans
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp butter
- ½ tsp salt
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook green beans according to package directions.
- Cook nuts and garlic in butter in a small skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Toss with green beans in a bowl, and sprinkle with salt.
