Peanut Butter Swirl Bars

Ingredients

  • 1½ (16.5-oz) rolls refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough, cut into ½-inch-thick slices
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg peanut butter sandwich cookies
  • 1 (18.4-oz) box chocolate fudge brownie mix
  • 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange cookie dough in a single layer in a foil-lined 13x9-inch baking pan. Using floured hands, press dough together to completely cover bottom of pan.
  2. Place sandwich cookies in a single layer over dough.
  3. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions; pour over cookies.
  4. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar with a mixer at medium speed until smooth. Add egg, peanut butter, and vanilla, beating until blended.
  5. Drop mixture by Tbsp over brownie batter; swirl batters together with a knife.
  6. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cover pan lightly with foil to prevent excess browning, if necessary. Cool completely before cutting.
