Honey-Garlic Chicken

Spicy Roasted Broccoli and Basil Rice

Ingredients

  • ½ (25-oz) pkg frozen batter-dipped chicken nuggets
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp Sriracha hot sauce
  • 3 Tbsp cold water
  • ½ Tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Bake or fry chicken nuggets according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, and Sriracha in a saucepan.
  3. Stir together cold water and cornstarch; add to saucepan, and cook, stirring, over medium-high heat until sauce is thickened.
  4. Place chicken fingers in a large bowl; add honey mixture, and toss to coat chicken.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 crown broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper
  • ¾ cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss together broccoli, oil, salt, and red pepper on a rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Bake 15 minutes or until broccoli is browned and tender.
  3. Cook rice according to package directions; stir in basil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
