Fire-Roasted Bolognese Penne
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (16-oz) pkg ground pork sausage
- 1 sweet onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28-oz) can fire-roasted crushed tomatoes
- 1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce
- 2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 (16-oz) pkg penne pasta
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup shredded Italian-blend cheese
Instructions
- Cook beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium heat 10 minutes or until browned and crumbly. Drain well.
- Place beef mixture in a greased 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Add onion, garlic, tomatoes, marinara sauce, and Italian seasoning; stir.
- Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and stir in oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve meat sauce over pasta; sprinkle with cheese.
