Pepperoni-Pasta Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg rotini pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (24-oz) jars roasted garlic pasta sauce
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ (6-oz) pkg pepperoni
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp chopped fresh oregano (or use basil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, cook beef and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Stir in pasta sauce and hot cooked pasta.
  3. Spread half of meat mixture in a greased 3-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with half of cheese and half of pepperoni. Repeat layers once, and cover.
  4. Bake 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer or until pepperoni is crisp. Sprinkle with oregano.
