Cranberry Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornflakes cereal
  • 1 (16.5-oz) roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (or use chopped almonds or pecans)
  • ⅔ cup sweetened dried cranberries, chopped
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Bake cereal 10 minutes or until crisp on a small baking sheet.
  2. Break up cookie dough into a bowl. Stir in nuts, cranberries, white chips, and vanilla until blended. Gently stir in cereal.
  3. Increase oven temperature to 350°F. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  4. Bake 11 to 15 minutes or until edges are golden. Makes 3 dozen.
