Spiced Baked Pears

Ingredients

  • 4 large pears, halved and cored
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup chopped walnuts
  • ⅓ cup old-fashioned rolled oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F; line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place pear halves, cut side up, on baking sheet. Slice a sliver off bottoms so pears lay flat.
  3. Sprinkle pears with cinnamon. Stir together honey and vanilla; drizzle each pear half with 1 to 2 tsp honey mixture. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and oats.
  4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until pears are tender. Remove from oven; cool 10 minutes before serving. Makes 8 servings.
