Ingredients

  • 1½ tsp garlic salt, divided
  • ⅓ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped tomato
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup pesto
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 6 romaine lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix 1 tsp garlic salt and Parmesan cheese into beef. Shape into 6 patties. Place on a greased broiler pan.
  2. Bake 10 minutes or until burgers are no longer pink in center, turning once.
  3. Combine tomato, oil, Italian seasoning, and ½ tsp garlic salt in a bowl.
  4. Increase oven temperature to broil.
  5. Spread pesto on each burger; top with mozzarella. Broil 1 minute or until cheese is melted.
  6. Top each patty with tomato mixture; serve on lettuce leaves.

  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts (or use pecans)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toast nuts in a dry skillet until fragrant.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beans, and cook 6 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat; stir in salt, pepper, and nuts.
