Caribbean Jerk Burgers
Oven-Baked Sweet Potato Fries
Ingredients
- ¾ lb ground beef
- 1 Tbsp plus ½ tsp Jerk seasoning, divided
- 2 slices pepper-Jack cheese
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- Grated zest and juice of 1 lime
- 2 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- ½ (8-oz) pkg shredded lettuce
- 1 Roma tomato, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Stir together beef and 1 Tbsp Jerk seasoning; shape mixture into 2 patties. Grill patties, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
- Top each with 1 slice cheese; let stand until melted.
- Meanwhile, stir together mayonnaise, lime zest, lime juice, and 1 tsp Jerk seasoning in a bowl.
- Spread desired amount of mayonnaise mixture over bottom buns (reserve remaining mixture for a dipping sauce for Sweet Potato Fries). Layer bottom buns with lettuce, tomato and patties. Add bun tops.
