Everything Bagel Chili Cheese Dogs

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 (8-count) pkg bun-length hot dogs
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp everything bagel seasoning
  • 2 (15-oz) cans chili (see Note)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Unroll crescent roll dough, and divide into triangles. Sprinkle about 1 Tbsp cheese on each triangle; top each with a hot dog, and roll up each crescent starting with 1 long side.
  2. Place crescent rolled hot dogs in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with seasoning. Bake 15 minutes or until crescents are golden brown.
  3. Spoon chili around crescents, and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and chili is thoroughly heated.
  4. Sprinkle with additional bagel seasoning, if desired.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
  • ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup dried cranberries (optional)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp white or cider vinegar
  • ⅓ cup real bacon bits

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Chop broccoli florets into small pieces.
  2. Combine broccoli, cheese, sunflower seeds, and, if desired, cranberries.
  3. Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar; toss with broccoli mixture. Sprinkle with bacon bits. Chill if time allows.
