Smothered Hamburger Steaks
Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 (5.4-oz) ground beef patties
- ½ (20-oz) pkg frozen peppers and onion blend
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 (14.5-oz) can petite diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil
- 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- ½ tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Combine flour and seasoning; dredge patties in mixture to coat.
- Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes per side or until browned. Remove patties from skillet; wipe skillet clean.
- Cook peppers and onion blend in hot oil in skillet over medium heat 8 minutes or until tender. Stir in tomatoes, vinegar, and basil. Return patties to skillet, and cook 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

- 1 (24-oz) pkg refrigerated mashed potatoes
- ½ (8-oz) pkg thin green beans
Side Dish Instructions
- Heat potatoes according to package directions.
- Steam green beans according to package directions; season to taste.
