Double Chocolate Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened baking cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup butter, melted
- ⅔ cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9- x 5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper, allowing it to hang over edges; spray paper with cooking spray.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Whisk together bananas and eggs in another bowl. Add both sugars, vanilla, and butter. Whisk until blended.
- Fold banana mixture into flour mixture until ingredients are just combined. Fold in ½ cup chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan; sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.
- Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center of bread comes out clean.
- Cool slightly. Slice bread, and serve warm.
