Ingredients

  • 12 slices center cut bacon
  • ½ cup peach or apricot preserves
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 12 slices sourdough bread
  • 6 romaine lettuce leaves
  • 12 slices Gouda cheese
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until done. Wipe skillet clean.
  2. Meanwhile, stir together preserves and thyme. Spread mixture on bread slices. Assemble sandwiches with bacon, lettuce, and cheese. Cook sandwiches, in batches, in hot oil in same skillet 3 minutes per side or until golden.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg strawberries, halved
  • 1 (4.4-oz) pkg blueberries
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Toss together all ingredients. Chill, if desired.
