Ingredients
- ¾ lb flat iron steak
- 2½ cups broccoli florets (or use frozen florets)
- 1 Tbsp canola oil
- ½ tsp minced garlic
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ cup low-sodium beef broth
- 4 tsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Thinly slice steak across the grain; set aside.
- Bring 1 inch water to a boil in a large saucepan; add broccoli. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Drain.
- Cook steak in hot oil in a skillet over medium-high heat 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add broccoli, garlic, salt, and pepper; sauté 2 minutes.
- Combine broth, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a small bowl, stirring with a whisk.
- Add broth mixture to skillet; bring to a boil, and cook 1 minute.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1½ Tbsp sesame oil
- ½ (12-oz) pkg cauliflower crumbles (or use frozen riced cauliflower)
- ¼ tsp garlic salt
Side Dish Instructions
- Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add cauliflower; sprinkle with garlic salt. Cook 7 minutes, stirring often, or until cauliflower is tender.
