Ingredients

  • ¾ lb flat iron steak
  • 2½ cups broccoli florets (or use frozen florets)
  • 1 Tbsp canola oil
  • ½ tsp minced garlic
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 4 tsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice steak across the grain; set aside.
  2. Bring 1 inch water to a boil in a large saucepan; add broccoli. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Drain.
  3. Cook steak in hot oil in a skillet over medium-high heat 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add broccoli, garlic, salt, and pepper; sauté 2 minutes.
  4. Combine broth, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a small bowl, stirring with a whisk.
  5. Add broth mixture to skillet; bring to a boil, and cook 1 minute.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1½ Tbsp sesame oil
  • ½ (12-oz) pkg cauliflower crumbles (or use frozen riced cauliflower)
  • ¼ tsp garlic salt

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add cauliflower; sprinkle with garlic salt. Cook 7 minutes, stirring often, or until cauliflower is tender.
